Year-Round Timeline of Achievements

Since the first years of its inception, eGovernment Authority (eGA) has climbed the ladder higher, taking bigger steps year by year. Awarding and initiation might best describe 2011 for the eGovernment Authority which privileges Bahrain with tremendous opportunities to move forward in the 21st century with high-quality eServices made available through various channels, while keeping abreast with the latest technologies.

Fully determined as the prime enabler of eTransformation, eGA will continue to facilitate convenient access to government services and information for citizens, residents, businesses and visitors.

The first eGovernment Strategy achieved more than 230 eServices around 453,893 financial transactions on the eGovernment portal (bahrain.bh), 57 services on the mobile portal, 15 Service Centers and 35 eKoisks spreading throughout Bahrain.

Building on a strong foundation from the former eGovernment Strategy (2007-2010), the new strategy (2011-2014) aims for ambitious yet achievable milestones. The new strategy vision was developed to reflect the Kingdom’s Economic Vision 2030.

As it is ready to turn to the next page of success, eGA will continue to pursue high performance in line with the international standards and measurements. However, 2011 will still be remembered for its numerous achievements and advancements. So it is recommended to take a few moments and look back at our bird’s-eye view of the year’s milestones and achievements.
